drag a chip to move it — or tap one, then tap another, to swap them
Drag the chips into place — or tap one, then tap another, to swap them — until the row runs warm (left) to cool (right), then hit “done sorting”. Tap a selected chip again to let it go.
On the reveal strip, accent numbers sat at their true rank and get a heavier tick; graphite ones were misplaced.
Every one of the 10 possible chip pairs is checked: in the right order earns, out of order costs. Perfect = 100, one swapped pair = 83, two = 67, half right = 17, and a shuffle scores in the low teens. Round = the average of 4 sets. Sets get closer in hue as you go, and set 4 is the bonus set — its hues sit almost on top of each other on purpose.
Before set 1 the strip appears unmarked: that is the whole warm→cool arc these swatches come from, so you can see what the two words mean before you are scored on them.
All swatches live on the orange→yellow→green→blue arc; magenta and purple sit this one out — their temperature depends on context.
Studio tip: temperature is relative — find the two extremes first, then bracket the middle.
