the studio habit · one drill, 2–4 minutes

art daily

a sketchbook of tiny scored drills — reps for the hand and the eye, with instant feedback

today's warmup

the daily plan needs JavaScript — the drill links below work without it

a warmup, not a curriculum — pick a drill, do a round, come back tomorrow

every drill scores out of 100, and you are only ever compared with your own past rounds · the pencil mark in a card's corner says how it is scored: math-scored = pure geometry & colour math · fit-scored = a comparison algorithm with tuning · curated = classic guidelines, honestly subjective

scores are tuned to what you draw with: a mouse or trackpad is allowed twice the wobble of a pen tablet, a finger sits in between, and start dots are drawn bigger for a pen or a finger. each drill's panel says which it is scoring for — so if you switch hardware, an older best of yours was measured with a different-sized allowance.

    why these drills
